Pork roll

Pork roll

Ink and watercolour on paper, 8×10

“Want a spring roll?” asked Tanya.

“Dunno,” I said. “What’s in a spring roll?”

“Pork? Why is there not spring in a spring roll?”

“It’s pork,” she said.

“Well, why don’t they call them pork rolls then?”

“WAIT. Are you picturing what I’m picturing?”

“Probably not.”

“I’m picturing a pork roll. AN ACTUAL PORK ROLL. AND THAT IS HILARIOUS.”

I then proceeded to laugh for seven straight minutes, and sketched this pork who is contemplating his roll.

And now you know how my brain works.
