Not All Those Who Wander Are Lost

Not all those who wander are lost photo

Ink on paper, 8×10

This was a request of my friend, Erinor’s. I made it on the occasion of her child’s birth. Well, that hasn’t quite happened yet, but it’s for the baby’s room. The kid’s parents are travellers. I always liked this quote.

I’ve also started doing this thing where when I frame things I’ve made, I add things in the outer margins in pencil, where no one will ever see them.

So far, I’ve mostly written my full name and the date. I’ve also written a simple hello, and drawn a tiny drawing of a star. I may add other details as I continue framing them, just for me, so that I know that there’s something more in there. A tiny story, a tiny nugget, a beautiful word, like logophile or brouhaha. Maybe I’ll include these in the scans I post here, like I did today, but… maybe I won’t.
